top ten phrases that do not include the words “I’m Sorry” to say when someone isn’t speaking to you and it’s your fault

1.  “Let me know when you’re talking to me again.”

2.  “I don’t know what you want me to say.”

3.  “I know you’re mad at me. Why don’t you just yell?”

4.  “So….I think it’s supposed to rain later…”

5.  “Fine. Don’t talk to me. Maybe I won’t talk to you. We’ll see how you like it.”

6.  “You know I’m not any good at this.”

7.  “So what, do you think you’re above all this?”

8.  “Hey, look what the cat just did!”

9.  “…um…I…nevermind…”

10.  “Look, I can’t even remember why we’re not talking.”

P.S.  It can be difficult sometimes, but there is no substitute for “I’m Sorry.”  (Of course, this list will do nicely in a pinch, so you may want to print off a copy or two for quick reference.)
